The Twig is the Junior Auxiliary of Inova Alexandria Hospital–an organization of women dedicated to providing financial aid, volunteer service, and support to Alexandria Hospital. There are a number of ways to support our mission.
Thrift Shop
Shop at The Twig Thrift Shop located in Old Town Alexandria at 106 N. Columbus Street. We specialize in quality clothing and accessories for women, men and teens, as well as items for the home. All proceeds benefit the Inova Alexandria Hospital.
Homes Tour
Twig sponsors the Annual Historic Alexandria Homes Tour – a walking tour of unique homes and gardens in historic Alexandria – held annually in September.
Together We Ignite Giving (T.W.I.G.)
Twig launched the Together We Ignite Giving campaign in 2020. T.W.I.G. is a program designed for companies, organizations, and individuals to donate to Twig during a time when our traditional means of fundraising – the Thrift Shop and Homes Tour – have been curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Special Sales
The Twig often receives donations of upscale clothing, accessories and housewares that have never been used or that are exceptionally valuable. This merchandise is typically reserved for special events, including The Twig Hospital Bazaar and special sales held at The Twig Thrift Shop.
