09 Feb The Twig Thrift Shop Reopens to Fanfare

Alexandria, VA — After a prolonged holiday closure due to rising Covid-19 cases in the area, the Thrift Shop reopened its doors on Wednesday, February 9th. Customers lined up outside to be the first to enter the shop on a chilly morning. The Thrift Shop’s loyal shoppers who had waited patiently since the store’s closing on December 18th, were ready to find treasures and bargains. Particularly enticing was a rare 25% off jewelry sale.
One of the Thrift Shop’s first customers on February 9th was a reporter with The Zebra, who requested an interview with the weekly shop chair, Rebecca Turberville, and Twig past president, Cindy Peterson. The video can be viewed HERE.
