Alexandria, VA — At the Twig General Meeting held on November 8, 2021, Twig President Mary Schoen presented a $2500 check to Dr. Rina Bansal, President of Inova Alexandria Hospital, in support of the Abshire Breast Cancer Care Fund.  The Twig makes an annual contribution to this community health initiative to improve cancer care for women diagnosed with breast cancer.  To learn more about Inova’s Breast Cancer Care Program, click here.

The meeting was also occasion for Inova Alexandria Hospital to recognize the service of Twig’s Immediate Past President, Candace Beane, who served a 2020-2021 term, during the height of the pandemic.  Dr. Binsal presented Ms. Beane with an award commemorating her dedication to Twig and the Inova Alexandria Hospital.
