Diana B. Carlin, Anita B. McBride and Nancy Kegan Smith co-wrote Remember the First Ladies and co-founded FLARE, the First Ladies Association for Research and Education — the national network that supports scholarship, classroom teaching and public programs on the lives and lasting legacies of America’s First Ladies.

About The Twig
The Twig is the Junior Auxiliary of Inova Alexandria Hospital. Founded in 1933 by a group of 24 women in Alexandria, Virginia, dedicated to providing financial support for the hospital, The Twig has raised more than $6 million for Inova Alexandria Hospital. In addition to hosting the Annual Historic Alexandria Homes Tour, the all-volunteer organization operates a Thrift Shop at 106 N. Columbus Street in Old Town.
Plan your visit
Getting there. The Lyceum is at 201 S. Washington Street, at the corner of Washington and Prince in Old Town.
Parking. The parking lot at the museum is small and street parking is limited in Old Town Alexandria. Guests are encouraged to use street parking or nearby parking garages.
Accessibility. The museum is wheelchair accessible to the first and second floor public areas. A light-duty passenger elevator to the second floor accommodates non-motorized wheelchairs only.
Doors. Doors open at 6:45pm; the conversation begins at 7:00 p.m.
What to expect. A moderated panel, time for audience questions, and a wine and cheese reception. The entire event will end at 8:30pm.
