Come Early and Shop Often

We welcome you to the Twig Thrift Shop, located at 106 North Columbus Street in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia!  We have some of the best new and gently used merchandise to be found.  We carry the following items:

Men’s and Women’s clothing, accessories and active wear.  We carry a variety of labels and rely on our donors for quality items being sold in our shop.

Housewares, home accessories and small furniture items such as lamps, chairs and occasional tables are found throughout the shop.

We also offer a wide selection of jewelry and books.

Our shop is open from September – June on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10AM – 3PM.  We are also open Wednesday and Thursday from 6PM – 8PM, and Saturdays from 10AM – 4PM.  We are closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Our shop is 100% volunteer staffed, and our merchandise is 100% donated.  Because of limited space in our shop, we focus on seasonal merchandise that can be sold immediately after donation.  Donations are accepted at the shop from 10AM – 2PM Wednesday – Saturday.  If your donation is larger than a few bags, we ask that you call in advance so we can have adequate staff to assist you.

There are certain types of items that we cannot accept.  We do not accept children’s clothes, bedding, large pieces of furniture and electronics.

The Thrift Shop follows Alexandria City Public Schools’ policy in the case of inclement weather.
