The Twig is a 501c(3) non-profit volunteer organization that raises funds through a variety of sales, events, and sponsorships. Founded as a small branch of the tree that represents the hospital, the Twig has been a premier service and social organization for women in Alexandria since 1933.
The Twig has donated over $2.5 million dollars to Inova Alexandria Hospital, to projects such as an infant security monitoring system, infusion treatment rooms for the Cancer Center, a dedicated stroke care unit, the Twig Pavilion, and nursing scholarships.
Our current pledge of $1million is designated for the new 24 single-patient room post-surgical Twig Patient Care Center.
